Simran Lotay, an A-Level Business, ICT and Media Studies student at Hamstead Hall Academy Sixth Form undertook her work experience placement at Titan Partnership in July this year. During her time with us Simran proved herself to be a hardworking and enthusiastic worker, completing all tasks she was set to high standards. Simran enjoyed her time with Titan so much that when we asked her if she’d like to return for more informal work experience she jumped at the opportunity.
“Simran’s confidence has developed so much since she’s been with us and now she’s on the phone to suppliers and driving a hard bargain!” Sarah, Events and Projects Coordinator at Titan
Simran said of her experience:
“I was given two projects to work on during my time at Titan and was told that I would be presenting the results at the end of the week. The first project looked at any improvements that could be made to the Titan Partnership and Titan Initial Teacher Training websites. I had the opportunity to give my opinions on the good, the bad, and any improvements that needed to be made. I also had the chance to suggest a social media strategy and which platforms could be used in order to attract the correct audience.
The second project was to look at planning the Annual Titan Dinner. I was tasked with finding potential venues, speakers, the programme of events and any other relevant suggestions. As a result of my work on this project I was invited back to the Titan offices on a Wednesday afternoon in order to see how the event would be professionally planned and executed.
My time with Titan has really built on my confidence and has given me a clear insight into what the field of project management looks like. This will give me more direction when deciding what to study at university in the near future.”
