On Tuesday 13th February the Titan Skills, Careers and Employability Group meeting took place at BCU’s new City South Campus.
The meeting began with a tour of facilities at the new BCU campus by host Sammy Dedicoat before FE and HE representatives were given the opportunity to share information on their organisations’ outreach opportunities.
Henry Aspinell from Work Ready Partnership attended the meeting to provide information on a free web tool that enables schools to build their own personalised employability microsite. Flight Lieutenant Carrie Moor provided information on the RAF Schools Outreach programme and the wide range of apprenticeships that the RAF offer.
Finally, the group were given the opportunity to showcase the excellent work they have been doing and to share information about any activities they feel would benefit other members. They also discussed how the new DfE Careers Strategy (December 2017) is being implemented in their organisations and how they can support each other with this.
