My Choice My Future Programme

The My Choice, My Future Programme is a unique two week employability programme for young people in Birmingham. Led by DWP, this programme is a multi-agency collaborative project which aims to support young people to develop the right skills for work and the confidence to achieve their goals.

The first week was facilitated by Safeside, an experiential learning centre that provides an innovative, interactive and enjoyable learning environment, inspiring visitors to think and act safely. Click here to see a video summarizing the week.

The second week was facilitated by Birmingham EcoPark, an environmental education centre in the Small Heath area of Birmingham, operated by the Wildlife Trust for Birmingham and the Black Country. It is a wildlife gardening demonstration garden. Click here to see a video summarizing the week.

Students from the International School and Holy Trinity School in Birmingham took part in the programme. Without exception they felt that the programme had an extremely positive impact on their confidence, their work skills and helped them focus on their future careers.
