Birmingham Pilot
ContextBirmingham NW Collegiates wished to trial my-iPlan, an individual learning plan devised by Nord Anglia and Wolverhampton City Council, with a small number of schools to explore issues of implementation and suitability for Birmingham schools. A larger group of schools, from a variety of Birmingham Collegiates, also expressed interest in involvement in the pilot, but only one South Collegiate school is involved at present.
Aims of the pilot- To recruit a selection of pupils from a variety of year groups to use my- iPlan

TimescaleThe pilot is running within the timeframe June 2006 to July 2007, with use of the system with pupils from Autumn Term 2006. In order to create an iPlan' for the learners involved in the pilot, Nord Anglia needed to be provided with the following information:
- Personal details (required)
- Details of the adults that will working with the learners through my-iPlan (required)
- Prior attainment data (optional)
- Current programme of study (optional)
Nord Anglia are working with the central IT support team to determine whether this data will be taken from the central management information system (preferred option) or from individual schools management systems.
George Dixon School have created a report with the necessary data and sent this to Nord Anglia. Aston Manor and Broadway school pupils are not yet actively involved in the project.
