Titan recently took part in the National College of School Leaders (NCSL) national pilot for School Business Managers (SBMs). The pilot brought together a number of schools, primary and secondary, to work together in partnership. The outcome of the pilot demonstrated the advantages of joint working and collaboration. The resultant report of the national pilot is available on the National College website.
The pilot has come to an end but Titan is working with ALL members to facilitate a SBM network, where colleagues can share practice and contacts; explore accreditation opportunities; investigate cost effectiveness and value for money agendas and to generally network around common issues.
The aim is, in these times of challenge, to support Titan members to save money, generate income and to develop best practice.
A Community of Practice (CoP) will develop around the SBM agenda. This will enable colleagues to be kept up to date by sharing ’new’ knowledge, disseminate best practice and to be innovative.
Membership of the CoP will support colleagues to bid jointly for funds and to maximise the potential of a large organisation.
Titan works in partnership with PSL and Educate and will be looking to support schools with cost savings on a large scale.
