On Tuesday 12th February 14 colleagues from across our network attended the Titan Skills, Enterprise, Employability and Careers (SEEC) Group meeting held at Erdington Academy.
Tom Clarke-Forrest and Matthew Forsyth from Sport 4 Life UK provided details on how they work with young people to improve their employability and key life skills through sports themed personal development programmes. 3Es is a training organisation which offer a ‘journey to employment project’. Jesse Gerald attended the meeting and gave further information on how the project can improve the confidence of young people and help them to become more employable in the future. Parminder Garcha, Head of 14-19 Participation and Skills, Birmingham City Council, also provided an update.
The group were then given space to discuss general updates, whilst our FE College, University and Private Training Provider members provided updates on the programmes and opportunities available to schools through their outreach and student recruitment services.
