The Child Criminal Exploitation Working Group met on Thursday 6th June for at the Titan offices for
the final meeting of the academic year.
Keith Wiseman provided an overview and update from the Birmingham wide Child Exploitation Panel and
Juliet Herbert shared information on the Mentors in Violence Prevention (MVP) programme that
gives young people the chance to explore and challenge the attitudes, beliefs and cultural norms
that underpin gender-based violence, bullying and other forms of violence.
Schools were given the opportunity to discuss the need and appetite for staff CPD that focuses on
child criminal exploitation alongside the need to investigate evidence based practice, research and
resources. Time was also dedicated to the discussion of the groups Terms of Reference to ensure
that all meetings in the next academic year focused on the networks priorities and delivered clear
