The Confident, Resilient Children (CRC) Project is funded by the Youth Endowment Fund as part of a £200 million endowment from the Home Office. The project aims to help children develop strategies that build resilience and confidence that will ultimately keep them safe and less vulnerable to exploitation and criminality. It is an early intervention approach and also supports young people with the transition from primary to secondary school.
November 2020 saw 23 schools begin activities in the 2nd delivery year of the CRC project. Delivery was delayed again in January 2021 due to Covid-19 but we were delighted to restart the project in March when schools returned.
The CRC project team would like to say a huge thanks to all schools involved. All staff across our CRC project schools have demonstrated real commitment and determination to keep the project running in these very challenging times. The project is having an incredibly positive impact on the children involved with excellent feedback from their teachers.
