Titan Partnership – raising aspirations through partnership

Titan is a partnership of Birmingham inner-city education and community providers working together to raise the quality of life for children, young people and adults living within the Titan area.  The nurseries, schools, colleges, universities and community partners within Titan share ideas, resources and professional development opportunities. They develop common approaches to deal with the challenges of raising attainment, achievement and engagement.

Titan is helping nurseries, schools, colleges, universities and community organisations to have a significant impact on the lives of young people and staff through links with higher education, national organizations and community partners.

Titan provides teacher training opportunities for primary and secondary education, through the School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) scheme and the School Direct Training Programme. We also provide a service for the assessment of Overseas Trained Teachers (OTT).

Titan works to secure additional resources for the benefit of students, pupils and staff. Titan is helping to build closer relationships with the local community and therefore encourage a better understanding of the need for education, lifelong learning and family well-being.

Titan has many business partners but is supported in particular by the Birmingham Science Park, Aston.
