Developing

Staff

Through our initial teacher training and Early Career Teacher programs, we provide our members with teachers and future leaders who are committed to making a positive difference in their student's lives and possess a deep understanding of the unique educational landscape of Birmingham. Our leader meetings foster collaboration and a shared vision among educators throughout the city, while our personal development initiatives empower all staff members to realise their full potential.

What We Do

We offer primary and secondary headteachers from our network a collaborative space to tackle educational issues in Birmingham. Within this space, they share best practices and unite their efforts to instigate positive change.

We acknowledge that senior leaders in our schools are shouldering increasing responsibilities. This group provides a supportive environment for primary and secondary Deputy and assistant headteachers, offering them a collaborative space to address educational challenges in Birmingham. Within this space, they exchange best practices and combine their efforts to drive positive change.

This group brings together staff responsible for careers, as well as school liaison and outreach teams from member colleges and universities.   Opportunities are created to network and share good practice and to hear from guest speakers from industry and the broader world of education.

This academic year, our PSHE & Pastoral Leads group have opted to share guidance and support via an electronic update and will be working together on organising a full-day PSHE & Pastoral conference.

The SENDCo group is a collaborative platform for Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENDCos) of all backgrounds and experience levels to unite and exchange information on current developments, best practices, strategies, and interventions. It offers a dedicated space for our SENDCos to establish valuable connections and mutually enhance their professional development.

The Post-16 group caters to professionals working with students in Sixth Forms, Further Education (FE), Higher Education (HE), and Private Training Providers. We convene regularly to address current issues and challenges relevant to this age group, ensuring that we stay informed about local developments within the Post-16 educational landscape.

We have established a forum where office managers and school administrators can collaborate, exchange best practices, and provide mutual support to one another.

This academic year, our SBM group have opted to share guidance and support via an electronic update and will be working together on organising a full-day SBM conference.

For over 35 years, Titan has been supporting the recruitment and retention of teachers across Birmingham. Our primary and secondary programmes will be recruiting for September 2024.

Our ECT programme for schools in partnership with Arthur Terry will be supporting ECTs from across our network of schools.

The Assessment Only (AO) route provides a pathway for those who have considerable experience of working in schools, but who do not possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). It is a route that allows you to be assessed for QTS if you are working as an unqualified teacher, paid or unpaid.

Candidates will have a maximum of 12 weeks to complete the assessment. This route is therefore only appropriate for candidates who already have evidence which proves that they meet the Teachers’ Standards. The AO route is not suitable for candidates who would require more training.

Titan is an End Point Assessor for the Teaching Apprenticeship (Lv6) and can support our schools with their End Point Assessment needs.
