The Year 6 to Year 7 Transition Taskforce meeting took place on Wednesday 25th September at the Titan offices.
Updates were provided on the various projects developed in the February meeting:
- development of a year 6 to year 7 transition programme,
- data sharing/data management, and
- mental health and well being
There was a consensus that the next meeting should be focused on KS2 and KS3 core subject leaders to talk about the transition process.
Matt Farmer from Loudmouth Training also joined the meeting and talked about the training and resources provided by Loudmouth for both primary and secondary schools.
Attendees were also briefed on the successful YEF bid from Titan – the Confident Resilient Children Project.

The SENDCo meeting took place on Thursday 26th September and was kindly hosted by Waverley Academy.
Discussion focused on support for schools in relation to CCE, the social media training session, promoting staff emotional wellbeing and delivering support for RSE 2020 for those students with SEND. There was also a focus on the Acquired Brain Injury project.
Conversation also focused on the education endowment foundation, and guidance on how to set out the implementation of it, an example of an implementation plan was shared with the group. Attendees have been asked to bring along their action plans to the next meeting provided they’re happy to share it.
