Titan Teacher Training has once again received praise from Ofsted as the results of its recent inspection in June 2023 have been made public. Ofsted has rated Titan Teacher Training as ‘Good’ with ‘Outstanding’ Leadership & Management, reaffirming the charity’s unwavering commitment to providing Birmingham with exceptional teachers and future leaders.
For over 35 years, Titan Teacher Training has been at the forefront of Initial Teacher Training, offering a variety of school-led routes into teaching in some of Birmingham’s most deprived neighbourhoods. As part of its mission, Titan also provides continuing professional development programmes, ensuring early career teachers receive crucial support during their first two years of teaching.
The inspection report celebrates the deep pride trainees take in being associated with Titan Teacher Training, and how applicants continue to choose Titan as their preferred training provider due to its excellent reputation and the welcoming and supportive “family feel” it offers to every trainee. The inspectors praised how Titan’s focus on positive mental health and wellbeing ensures that trainees receive the necessary support to thrive in their training year and beyond.
Ofsted inspectors were highly impressed by the shared moral purpose and passion displayed by leaders and mentors at Titan Teacher Training. Their commitment to delivering high-quality teachers adept at educating students in inner-city Birmingham schools stood out during the inspection process. The inspection team also praised the programme for aligning with the Department for Education’s core content framework while consistently exceeding its requirements.
